Real Science, Real Results:
Complete Tru REM™ Ingredient Breakdown
Ashwagandha
Often referred to as the “king” of Ayurvedic herbs, ashwagandha is an adaptogen that delivers many important benefits in the body including the promotion of deeper, more restful sleep. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5,]
These effects appear to stem from its content of triethylene glycol (a compound that produces sedative effects and improves overall sleep quality) and its action on GABA receptors which play a key role in the sleep-wake circuit . [6]
It is also rich in substances known as withanolides which boost the body’s ability to cope with stress, allowing for improved relaxation before bed and the ability to fall asleep more easily. [7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12]
TRU REM™ CONTAINS 125MG OF SENSORIL® ASHWAGANDHA, THE PATENTED FORM BEST KNOWN FOR ITS SLEEP-INDUCING PROPERTIES.
(In addition to its effects on sleep, research has also shown that ashwagandha may enhance physical performance [13], increase testosterone levels [14, 15], boost the immune system [16, 17], and raise cardiovascular endurance [18].)
L-Glycine
Glycine is an amino acid and neurotransmitter that has been shown to improve sleep quality in several studies. [19, 20, 21]
It exerts its sedative effects by interacting with the brain’s NMDA receptor and by lowering core body temperature, as higher temperatures can interfere with sleep.
Glycine may also decrease feelings of fatigue and boost cognitive function when sleep is impaired. [22]
TRU REM™ CONTAINS 3G OF L-GLYCINE PER SERVING.
Lemon Balm Extract
Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) is an herb that has been used traditionally for thousands of years to promote calmness and relaxation. [23, 24]
It appears to produce its sedative effects by interacting with GABA-A receptors. [25]
Consuming lemon balm prior to bedtime has been shown to decrease levels of anxiety and stress and promote higher quality sleep. [26, 27]
TRU REM™ CONTAINS 500MG OF LEMON BALM EXTRACT PER SERVING.
Melatonin
Melatonin is a hormone released by the brain that plays a central role in regulating sleep.
Its primary benefit is reducing the amount of time it takes to fall asleep, though it may also improve sleep quality to a certain extent as well. [28, 29, 30, 31]
TRU REM™ CONTAINS 0.5MG OF MELATONIN PER SERVING.
Although many supplements contain melatonin in much higher doses, the original research on this compound found that just 0.3mg was the optimal amount for most individuals. [32]
Melatonin is not a dose dependent supplement (taking more will not necessarily help you fall asleep faster) but higher amounts can increase feelings of drowsiness in the morning.
There will be some individual variation however, so if you would like to experiment with a slightly higher dose, we recommend adding an extra 0.5-2.5mg of melatonin along with your serving of Tru REM™.
In addition, Tru REM is 100% naturally sweetened/flavored and delivered in a delicious lemon tea flavor you can enjoy as you wind down for sleep…
Tru REM™: the bottom line

Can I use Tru REM every night?
There are no safety concerns associated with nightly use, however, you will likely build up tolerance to the ingredients if consuming it that often and see decreased benefits.
We recommend using Tru REM ideally no more than 3 days per week on the nights when maximizing sleep quality is most important to you.
Will I become reliant on Tru REM in order to sleep?
Tru REM is non-habit forming and you will not see a decrease in sleep quality below your natural baseline if you stop consuming it.
Are there any side effects?
There should be no concern for side effects in otherwise healthy individuals.
Tru REM was carefully formulated using natural ingredients that have been shown to be both safe and effective when utilized at the included doses.
We also made sure to not mega-dose our melatonin like many other companies do, and instead opted for a lower research supported amount of 0.5mg to minimize the chances for morning drowsiness.
Should I mix it with warm or cold water?
This comes down to personal preference, though most users prefer to mix it with warm water and consuem Tru REM as a pre-bedtime tea beverage.
Why is there only 0.5mg melatonin?
Although many supplements contain melatonin in much higher doses, the original research on this compound found that just 0.3mg was the optimal dose for most individuals. [32]
Melatonin is not a dose dependent supplement (taking more will not necessarily help you fall asleep faster) but higher amounts can increase feelings of drowsiness in the morning.
There will be some individual variation however, and if you would like to experiment with a slightly higher dose, we recommend adding an extra 0.5-2.5mg of melatonin along with your serving of Tru REM™.

I wear a sleep tracker and on nights when I take Tru REM my stress levels are consistently lower than average. Quality sleep is crucial for anyone looking to build muscle and that’s what I experience when I take Tru REM.
Eduardo M. (verified buyer) –
I’m ordering my second bottle now. I’m still working with how much to take, sometimes it is hard to wake up, but overall I’ve been able to sleep 8 hours now. It is amazing the results you get when you sleep long enough to let you body recover and rest the amount of time nature requires we give it. Great product.
Harrison L. (verified buyer) –
Great at helping me fall asleep when I am having trouble, though a few times I woke up during the night or woke up earlier than normal. I only use it when I need to wake up early the next day and can’t fall asleep early naturally at night.
Mark G. (verified buyer) –
Pretty neat supplement. I’ve never taken any sleep aid but this one is nice to have as it does boosts my sleep quality.
It tastes delicious and dissolves easily.
I don’t know if I actually feel more sleepy after taking it, but it does help me feel relaxed and sleep deeper throughout the night.
